The staff of the SSUFSCP, private veterinarians and other stakeholders may increase their capacity in relation to the responsibilities of competent authorities in Food Safety and AH&W. Continuous training system for officials working in the sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary sectors is also established.
Support in reforming veterinary services delivery and laboratory systems through reorganisation of the interface between the public and the private sector.
Under the project, the national Ukrainian legal framework in the area of animal health and welfare is being analysed and revised, newly proposed legislation along with remaining food safety legislation being drafted and harmonised with EU requirements and procedures for its implementation are being developed.
