160 B2B Meetings and 380 New Business Contacts: Outcomes of the EU-Supported Trade Mission to the Netherlands

On 4–7 June 2024, eight leading Ukrainian fintech companies took part in the trade mission in Amsterdam (Netherlands). The mission was organised by the IT Ukraine Association together with the Office for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Export, Diia.Business, under the European Union and German government support as part of the EU4Business international cooperation programme. The event strengthened cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the innovation sector.

Based on the open competition results, eight Ukrainian participating companies were selected:

  • Solidgate (technology solutions for sellers and payment processing services)
  • 42flows.tech (software developers with over 24 years of experience)
  • IGAMA (product IT company with over 16 years of experience)
  • 8allocate (a software development company with R&D centres in Poland, Ukraine,    Romania, Bulgaria, and Latin America)
  • Teamvoy (technology outsourcing company)
  • RozetkaPay (payment service)
  • CIGen (a company helping fintech companies modernise outdated systems)
  • Perfsol (software developers)

Within the trade mission preparation, programme participants listened to an educational webinar and received advice on attracting customers and communication specifics in the Netherlands.

The companies also participated in one of the largest fintech events globally, Money 20/20 Europe , which brings together more than 8,500 C-level participants and leading companies with innovative solutions for financial, insurance, and banking institutions worldwide.

‘Participation in the trade mission and the Money20/20 event in Amsterdam has exceeded our expectations. We have established new partnerships during the conference’, says Natalia Zamai, Growth Leader at 8allocate.

For Ukrainian companies, participation in the event opened up new opportunities for entering the international market, attracting investments, and integrating into the global financial community. During the event, they held 160+ B2B meetings where they could present their products and services and established 380+ new business contacts with potential customers and partners from the UK, USA, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. About 13 contracts worth more than 900,000 euros are expected to be signed in a year.

The Ukrainian delegation negotiated with representatives of Business Finland, technological association Amsterdam Tech, and Belgian investment fund Seven Capital. The participants visited the Science Park in Amsterdam, where they got acquainted with the park ecosystem, start-up village, and opportunities for cooperation.

‘The Netherlands is one of the largest fintech markets in Europe. The country attracts international fintech companies seeking to expand their presence in Europe. Participation in the trade mission to the Netherlands was an important step for expanding our activities. We held meetings with potential investors and partners. This will significantly help us enter the European market’ , said Ihor Zakharovych, Business Development Manager at IGAMA Ukraine. He believes such missions to be vital, since they support economic development, open up new opportunities, and strengthen Ukraine’s global position.
