An increasing number of women entrepreneurs in the modern world are striving to learn new business management tools and take their business activities to a new level. Responding to this demand, the Business Support Centre in Kharkiv recently organised a conference on ‘Women in Business. Harmony and success’, held as part of the EU4Business initiative with the support of the EBRD.
On December 19 and 20, more than 80 women entrepreneurs from Kharkiv, Sumy and Donetsk gathered for the at the Kharkiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Addressing the audience were seven experienced practitioners who touched on more than 15 key topics. Participants were able to study in detail the following issues related to doing business in the modern marketplace:
- What are the problems of women's entrepreneurship, their reasons and ways to solve them?
- opportunities for cooperation with women's business associations;
- the main tools for running a successful business;
- staff motivation tools;
- secrets of successful presentation of business projects,
- the rules of business etiquette, communications and the appearance of the woman entrepreneur.
According to women who participated in the event, this conference allowed them not only to learn useful tools for conducting a successful business in a short time, but also inspired them to implement new ideas. The participants also noted a friendly atmosphere of cooperation, readiness to unite and solve common tasks within the framework of the conference.
The Kharkiv Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building.
