Curate and host an EU Industry Weeks local event: Call for Proposals till 5 December!

If you or your organisation want to help shape the discussion on European industry and industrial policy, curating and hosting a local event at the EU Industry Weeks is a great platform. The EU needs an active and engaging dialogue with industry players to achieve the transition to a digital, greener and more resilient European industry. Be part of the discussion by curating and hosting a local event during the EU Industry Weeks 2022.

The EU Industry Weeks is a collaboration between the European Commission and stakeholders of European industrial ecosystems. Companies, entrepreneurs, organisations, national ministries or other industry stakeholders can curate and host their own local events across Europe as part of the official EU Industry Weeks programme. The European Commission will select local events through this call for expression of Interest.

EU Industry Weeks is a wider framing of the EU Industry Days, bringing the discussion to the local communities around Europe. Industry stakeholders will organise local events across Europe in January and February 2022.

Themes of your local event

EU Industry Weeks 2022 would like to include programme sessions that cover one or more of the following topics.

  • The green and digital transition;
  • Resilience;
  • Youth in industry.

All organisers are free to structure local events in their preferred format and duration. Examples include but are not limited to:

  • virtual workshops;
  • seminars;
  • open doors (virtual plant/factory tour);
  • business presentations; training courses;
  • job and education fairs;
  • other events organised in partnership with other businesses, economic development groups and universities or training centres.

Selection criteria

The European Commission will base its selection of the local events on the following criteria:

  • relevance to the EU Industry Days 2022 themes;
  • dynamic and interactive formats.

The following criteria are considered advantageous and are encouraged

  • appropriate gender balance of speakers;
  • inclusion of young (below the age of 30) speakers/panellists/other roles.

The European Commission has total/full discretion to select the local events based on the above-mentioned criteria. Unsuccessful candidates will be informed, but individual feedback cannot be provided.

How to apply
