The national educational programme “Svitanok” for entering international markets is launched in Ukraine

In 2023, Ukraine increased its exports, reaching almost 100 million tons of goods, which is 112 thousand tons more than in 2022. Therefore, with the aim of further developing Ukrainian exports and supporting local entrepreneurs, MinDigital together with international donors is launching Svitanok - the national educational programme in Ukraine.

Within the initiative, 100 representatives of micro, small, and medium-sized (MSMEs) businesses, who want to expand their exports and the foreign partners base, will be selected. Applications can be submitted by:

  • Export managers
  • Company executives responsible for foreign economic activity
  • Representatives of companies planning to start or expand their export activities in 2024, or those having limited experience in exporting

The training will take place from May 7 to May 28, 2024, in offline and online formats.

Participants will attend 12 online lectures and 5 group offline and online meetings at the 10 Diia.Business support centers in the cities of Bucha, Odesa, Uzhhorod, Kremenchuk, Kryvyi Rih, Poltava, Lutsk, Ternopil, Rivne, and at the premises of the Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv.

Among the main topics of the course are:

  • Opportunities and challenges for Ukrainian companies in the international market;
  • Market research methods;
  • Features of legislation and regulation of exports;
  • Marketing tools for product promotion in the international market;
  • Choosing the optimal strategy for innovation implementation in the international market;
  • Conducting trade negotiations and concluding agreements.

Each module consists of theoretical and practical training, homework, and feedback sessions based on homework results. Speakers and mentors of the Program are experts and practitioners who promote and scale up the products on international platforms.

Upon completion of the training, 20 participants will receive developed comprehensive plans to expand export opportunities. Additionally, they will receive recommendations for improving their business strategy for entering the international market.

Furthermore, 20 graduates of the Program will receive a three-month access to the international the Kompass, a B2B search portal providing data and innovative solutions for sales, marketing, and procurement departments worldwide. They will also have the opportunity to create and promote pages for their companies on the professional networking site, i.e. LinkedIn.
