Over 50 Ukrainian berry companies presented their products at the American world-renowned trade fair United Fresh LIVE! as part of “Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade – an EU4Business initiative”. For the first time in its history, the fair was held on a virtual online platform.
Ukrainian entrepreneurs formed the International Trade Centre projects' joint delegation and presented Ukraine at the virtual stand “Taste with Ukraine”. The range of products was really wide this year: sublimated and frozen berries, berry fillings and fillers, organic berries and products made of them, snacks, syrups and toppings; jams and marinades; berry drinks and sweets, puree, including baby food.
United Fresh Live gathers thousands of visitors and hundreds of retail traders and food products’ buyers from all over the world. This year fair, with more than 3 300 exhibitors, became a digital pioneer in agricultural field.
“United Fresh 2020 is a part of the cohort of events that determine the development of the fruit and berry sector in the world. The contacts, exchange of experience and technological solutions shape the future of the market for the years to come. Participation is of great benefit to us”, says Vasyl Shukalovych, “Organic Standard” Senior Certification Specialist, who took part in the fair as a participant.
“Of course, we missed live communication, but chats and e-mail correspondence were so precise. No matter the unusual format, we gained new contacts and continued negotiations with clients,” says Ruslana Kislyuk, Triada MK LLC representative.
So far, the Ukrainian stand gained 77 contacts of potential partners. The virtual platform will operate until September 1, 2020 – during the next three months, the participants will continue promote their products and establish new business links.
Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade project, funded by the European Union within its EU4Business initiative, works with small and medium enterprises in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine to help them target and access foreign markets, with a special focus on the European Union.
